Episode 11

Interviews

This week, we had to take part in 3 interviews with SAS's trusted advisors. I was fired in this task, along with Tre. Katie was offered a place in the final but she turned it down due to personal reasons.

We arrived at Viglen at about 9am. It was a very long day - I got fired at about 11pm, followed by Tre around midnight and Katie at 1am!!

We are all asked to sit a written exam - to demonstrate our knowledge of Amstrad, SAS etc. Simon scored highest (of course), followed by me, Tre, Katie and Kristina. I was surprised to see SAS's article in the Daily Mirror where he slams my knowledge, especially considering I came second in the exam.

I found the interviews to be quite straight forward. The interviewers challenged me, I responded. They questioned me, I answered. We even had a few laughs. So I was actually feeling quite confident when I went into the boardroom.

I wasn't surprised when I heard Katie had stepped down. I knew there was some other motive - on all my to-camera interviews, I've always said that Katie is amazing and she knows her stuff. However, considering she already earns 90k and has a high flying career already, what is her motivation for The Apprentice? Surely winning would be a step back? Also, in the boardroom, SAS did not expect anyone to start in Brentwood the next week.

I think Simon is the luckiest man in Britain. Tre and I carried him through many tasks. To give him credit, he is very intelligent, hardworking, fun to be around and a good salesperson. But in my opinion, Simon does not have the skills or business acumen to run an organisation. But it all depends on what SAS has in mind for the winner. Simon would be great running a small business, which is what he has experience doing. However I feel Simon would struggle in a large organisation setting.

Kristina is tough. She is manipulative, ruthless and is desperate for the job. She would sell both her legs for the job. I think SAS will pick Kristina in the end as she is a much safer bet than Simon.

Next week, I return to The Apprentice to help Simon in the final - designing a landmark building for London's Southbank.
